On June 9, 2024, the Guam Territorial Band – Official Band of Guam, USA and the Tumon Bay Youth Orchestra will present a private Vienna Tour SEND OFF CONCERT at the SGI Ikeda Peace & Cultural Center in Tamuning.

This July 2024, a delegation of nearly 150 musicians and support personnel are gearing up to represent Guam for the first time at the Summa Cum Laude International Music Festival in the historic city of Vienna, Austria. Consisting of both the Guam Territorial Band – Official Band of Guam, USA and the Tumon Bay Youth Orchestra, these music scholars have been putting in hundreds of hours of personal practice and rehearsals for the honor to perform in the old stomping grounds of music greats such as STRAUSS, BEETHOVEN and MOZART.

Restrictions

PARKING: On site parking is limited to the first 80 guests on a first come, first served basis. Thanks to their support, additional parking is available at the ITC Building. (Do not park at the Tamuning - US Post Office). The gates adjacent to the SGI Center from the ITC Building will remain open until 5:30pm

CONCERT INFORMATION: 12:40pm - DOORS OPEN | 1:00pm - CONCERT. Following the concert, a light merienda will be served to all performers and guests courtesy of SGI Community. Since this may be one of the last times we have maximum attendance in Guam until we meet in Vienna, TBYO/GTB may use this opportunity to augment with a TBYO/GTB led potluck.
